Meet our Founder, Alex Bushman

Alex was eight years old on September 11, 2001, and lived just a few blocks from the Twin Towers. After being evacuated from her fourth-grade classroom that day, her family was unable to return to their home, work, or school for months.

While her community was irrevocably changed, left to grapple with immense sadness and fear, she also witnessed firsthand the transformative power of resilience and compassion. This early experience instilled in her a relentless optimism and a deep desire to help others tap into their own hope and capacity for action.

From co-founding WeGaveWhat with WeWoreWhat during the pandemic to launching Influencer Social Responsibility (ISR)™, Alex’s career has been driven by a passion for inspiring others to see—and be—the good in the world, particularly those with the resources and platforms to drive large-scale change.

She holds a certification in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Georgetown University.
